Electric Vehicle Charging Point (EVCP)

Although occupants of SFA are not authorized to fit an Electric Vehicle Charging Point (EVCP) themselves.  

Under the standard Encroachment process Service Persons are now authorized to contact a certified EVCP installer who must be approved by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV).   

Occupants should contact Pinnacle Homes Services on 0800 031 8628 Option 2 to register their intention to fit an EVCP and to ensure the Encroachment process is followed.

This change will allow Service Persons to arrange an EVCP socket/charger to be installed in their SFA at their cost using an OZEV approved supplier which will ensure the installation is completed safely by a certified installer with the correct electrical test and inspection certification issued upon completion. All EVCP socket/charger installations undertaken safely by an OZEV approved and certified installer can be left in place and will not need to be removed at Move Out. The EVCP socket/charger will be inspected as part of the electrical safety inspection completed during the void preparation period prior to the next family Moving In.
